Congratulations go out to Mrs. Brandon and Mr. Pina for being awarded a substantial BEF grant for the 2016-17 school year! Thank you also to the Bastrop Education Foundation for all you do for our students and teachers! We love BEF!

BMS Theater on a Global Stage

(Bastrop)--Bastrop Middle School theater students will make history when they perform We Will Rock You The Musical at the Jerry Fay Wilhelm Performing Arts Center. This will mark the first time a middle school has performed the musical on any stage in the world since it typically is performed by high school students and young adults. A total of 75 students are involved in the historic production, which opens Friday.

January is School Board Recognition Month

January is School Board Recognition Month, and Bastrop ISD is proud to join other districts across the state in thanking our local leaders for their dedication and advocacy on behalf of public schools. BISD Begins Winter Break December 19

Bastrop ISD will be closed for Winter Break beginning December 19, 2016. Students return to class on Wednesday January 4, 2017. Staff returns for professional development and preparation on January 2, 2017. On behalf of BISD faculty and staff, we wish all of our families and safe and enjoyable holiday season!
